Plaza Santa Cecilia has been a cultural cornerstone of east Tulsa’s Global District, housing approximately 30 immigrant-owned businesses. After years of deferred maintenance, the building faced significant challenges. But in Fall 2023, two local Hispanic investors stepped in to purchase the property from an out-of-state owner.
A multimillion-dollar renovation is now underway, reimagining 15,000 square feet as a small business incubator and resource center to empower east Tulsa’s entrepreneurs with the technical support they need to succeed. The incubator will bring new services to the area like workshops, mentorship and connections to local resources.

Plaza Santa Cecilia is home to Tulsa’s only international bus station, serving as a vital gateway for visitors and the community. Plans are underway to transform the outdoor space into a vibrant, fully functional plaza and bus stop, creating a more welcoming and accessible environment.
Developed in collaboration with the OU Urban Design Program and Tulsa Global District, this project will be considered for funding after the completion of the Plaza Santa Cecilia business incubator.
