Since 2022, Elevate East has been working alongside local organizations to bring vital resources to east Tulsa. Our initiatives are designed to be broad and impactful, giving residents the tools and opportunities to strengthen their own community.
A Zipcode Shouldn’t Determine Life Outcomes
Investing in east Tulsa’s young people is vital for the long-term success of the area. Right now, only 14% of 25+ year old residents within our target neighborhoods have a Bachelor's education or higher, compared to 33% in Tulsa County.
Elevate East provided a $50,000 grant to Tulsa Honor Academy to support their first graduating class with gap scholarships to ensure that financial barriers—such as putting a deposit on an apartment or buying books—do not hinder their ability to start college.
Through the financial support of Elevate East, Tulsa Higher Education Consortium helped east Tulsa families sign up for FAFSA and Oklahoma’s Promise in the summer of 2024
Nearly $840,000 fund to support expectant mothers with financial support during the postpartum period through a partnership with Parent Child Center of Tulsa, El Centro and GKFF’s InvestNorth initiative.

Located at the heart of 21st and Garnett, the Global District is the most diverse part of our city. Elevate East and Tulsa Global District are working to revitalize this thriving, multicultural commercial corridor. Our partnerships have launched or planned over $60 million in investments in the Global District.

Business and Entrepreneurship
East Tulsa’s small businesses are the economic engine powering the area. Elevate East is partnering with various organizations to provide vital support and ensure local entrepreneurs realize their potential.
Plaza Santa Cecilia is a bustling international hub of Latin flavors, music and traditions deserving of an upgrade. Elevate East is working with two local Hispanic investors as well as the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County to remodel the beloved market.
The Plaza will include east Tulsa’s first business incubator, an outdoor plaza and retail amenities. The project has already secured $2.4 million in public and private funds.
Through key partnerships with Avanzando Juntos, more than 35 east Tulsa businesses have received microloans from $5,000 to $20,000 in low-interest loans to help their businesses.
